- Outline:
These introductory courses are designed for solicitors, legal executives and paralegals starting to specialise in private children or domestic abuse work, and those returning to practice or changing area of practice to include private children or domestic abuse work. They will provide the oppotunity to pool knowledge and local experience.
Domestic abuse: injunction proceedings from first instructions to enforcement
Members of Resolution's Domestic Abuse Committee will oresent this course, whcih will cover:
- Tactics and procedures for fact finding hearings
- Taking instructions
- Legal aid
- Drafting an injunction application
- Without notice hearings
- On notice hearings
- Draft orders and undertakings
- Service
- Enforcement following breach of an injunction
Private children law for beginners: from first instruction to resolution
Members of Resolution's children committee will present this course, which will cover:
- Welfare checklist
- Taking instructions
- Legal aid
- Finding solutions without going to court
- Section 8 applications
- Enforcement
- fact finding hearings
- Domestic abuse and children cases
