Can I Take My Teddy?

23 October, Bristol

24 October, Birmingham.

This stimulating course for family solicitors and mediators explores in depth the needs of children when their parents separate. The day focuses on the outcomes and recommendations of relevant research in this area and offers family law practitioners a framework and guidance for supporting parents during this challenging transition. This course aims to increase your knowledge about child-related issues following separation and to increase your confidence when supporting your clients with their parental disputes. The programme is built up of presentations, small group discussions, child and parent-focused exercises and role-plays which are predominantly aimed at mediators although would be helpful for all practitioners working with parents post separation, including collaborative practitioners. Delegates are also provided with ideas and strategies to achieve a child-centred approach and have plenty of opportunity to practice, discuss and explore these concepts in a supportive and thought-provoking forum.
