Becoming parents - assisted reproduction and surrogacy

  • This session will provide an introduction to the law relating to surrogacy. There has been a huge increase in the number of surrogacy arrangements in the UK over the past decade. Many of these cases involve international elements and present complex legal issues. The family courts have taken a creative approach to the interpretation of the relevant legislation, which has resulted in controversial decisions attracting significant press attention.
