Collaborative Foundation Training

1-3 October 2019, Manchester and 18-20 November 2019 London

“I’ve never been on a course where the energy was up the entire time. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and am excited for my collaborative future.” 2018 course participant

Collaborative practice has genuinely changed the backdrop and practice of family law in this jurisdiction, and the new revitalising connections and professional relationships have positively improved practitioners' experience in working as family lawyers.

There are already over 1,700 trained collaborative practitioners in England and each Resolution collaborative e-newsletter brings with it news of yet more exciting developments in collaborative practice across England and Wales.

Our three-day Collaborative Foundation course will give participants an excellent grounding and understanding of how to start and run their collaborative cases. The training will be followed up with a further one-day negotiation skills training course which will need to completed within 12 months. Participants within their local POD group will then be encouraged to undertake interdisciplinary training.

This foundation course is available to all family lawyers who are solicitors, barristers or CilEx and who are members of Resolution. There is no minimum PQE needed to attend this training. In addition it is now possible for paralegals who are Resolution members to train provided they fulfil the criteria.
