The Specialist Collaborative Law Collective

Lawyers, Financial Planners & Family Consultants

Working with you to minimise conflict

Increasingly, couples wish to find ways to part that can minimise emotional cost, both for themselves and those around them.

A collaborative approach offers you a unique combination of professional support and control, enabling you to access a bespoke team of specialists, as and when required. It can help you to deal more effectively with legal, financial and family matters.

Members are based in and around London SW1. We are a highly skilled and experienced team of professionals and members of Resolution. Although we work for different firms, we meet together regularly to discuss our work and to train as a team.

Please explore the pages of this website to learn more about us and the Collaborative process.

You will find short profiles for each member and links to our firms. We are happy to have an initial informal conversation about your situation and to discuss the best way forward.

What is Collaborative Law?

As the name suggests, participation in this process requires everybody to work together in an open and honest way.

Each person will have a Lawyer and all four participants then sign a contract, known as a Participation Agreement, which binds everyone to the Collaborative process.

If the process breaks down, the Lawyers are not permitted to continue to represent you.

Agreement is reached through a series of four way face to face meetings, with the involvement of other specially trained professionals, where necessary.

The aim is to reach agreement without recourse to the courts, but with the benefit of legal advice throughout the process. If a divorce is required, then the Lawyers will use the final agreement as the basis for court orders.

Professionals who work within this field are members of Resolution(formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association) and adhere to their Code of Practice.
