Joining as a Student - criteria

Helping today's students become tomorrow's family law practitioners

Student members get their first year of membership free. You can apply for student membership if:

  • You are studying law or any subject related to family justice


  • Working towards a relevant qualification


  • Working in family justice prior to undertaking further training (and don't fall into any of the other categories, e.g. trainee, paralegal, etc) 

If you are studying part-time, your first two years of membership are free. 

Members receive:

  • Discounted training courses and publications
  • The Review, a bi-monthly publication which features family law news and black letter law updates
  • Access to the members' website with information about upcoming training, regional events and the Resolution Job Shop.

To qualify for free membership you will need to complete a student application form.
