Family law association Resolution has warmly congratulated its members who between them won six categories at the prestigious Family Law Awards 2011, held at the Hilton Hotel in London on 18th October 2011.

The Family Law Awards recognise excellence in family law, and are judged by a senior advisory panel of individuals from the legal profession.

Resolution members won the following awards:

  • Family Law Solicitor of the Year: Vanessa Priddis
  • Family Law Barrister of the Year: Teertha Gupta
  • Family Law Firm of the Year: Family Law in Partnership
  • Family Law Chambers of the Year: 4 Paper Buildings (Resolution has 14 members at these chambers)
  • Most Innovative Family Lawyer of the Year: Roger Bamber
  • Family Law Alternative Dispute Resolution Practitioner of the Year: Kim Beatson

Colin Jones, Chief Executive of Resolution, said: “We are delighted to see these family lawyers and firms being acknowledged for their outstanding work, which makes such a positive difference to families who are facing serious difficulties in their lives and to the well-being of society.

“This year – with the Government’s planned legal aid cuts threatening to strip away access to justice for the most vulnerable, including children and victims of domestic violence – it is particularly important to celebrate those that champion constructive, non-confrontational approaches to family law.”
