Members’ Choice Shortlist – Resolution Awards 2023

New for this year, our members' choice award is voted for by you! The shortlist has been decided, now it's time to vote for your Resolution member of the year...

Congratulations to our three Resolution members who have been shortlisted for the Members’ Choice Award: James Evans, Graeme Fraser and Helen Robson.

Now it’s down to you to vote for your member of the year! Here are some snippets from the award nominations that impressed our judges. All members’ choice nominations came from fellow Resolution members.

James Evans, Head of UK Professional Education, Our Family Wizard

James is a member of the East Sussex Resolution Committee, the Family Dispute Solutions Group, the Family Law Language Project, the Parents Promise Alliance, the Family Mediation Week Committee and is Chair of Support Through Court’s Family Ambassadors Board.

“His dedication to moving families forward during the divorce and separation process is not only evident from the training he delivers but his commitment to being part of a vast range of groups and memberships, contributing to new ways of practice, helping relieve the court backlog and encouraging parents to use out of court dispute resolution options.”

“James is continuously a role model and embodies the code of practice. This is also reflected in his kindness, enthusiasm and dedication to the family justice community and his mission to contribute better outcomes for children.”

Graeme Fraser, Partner, BBS Law

Graeme’s roles include: Head of Family team, BBS Law, Resolution’s Cohabitation Committee Chair, member of Resolution’s Family Law Reform Group, Training and Learning Committee and Family Procedure Rule Committee (FPRC) Member.

“His peers recognise Graeme as being the rock you turn to when times are tough. He is self-aware, compassionate, and empathetic to those he shares his knowledge with. Imbued with resilience and tenacity regardless of the challenges, Graeme’s unquenchable enthusiasm and values are steeped in fairness, equality, and best practice in family law.”

“Through thought leadership, committee work, training Members, and being a media spokesman, he has trailblazed cohabitation practice and policy and the campaign for cohabitation law reform in England and Wales.”

Helen Robson, Senior Partner, Caris Robson

Helen is a collaborative practitioner, district judge and was co-chair of the Parenting after Parting Committee between 2017 and 2019, along with being North East Regional Chair for Resolution since 2013.

“Helen works tirelessly to support members and promote the Code of Practice. Helen has become a Deputy District Judge North East Circuit since 2019 but this has not reduced her commitment to her peers, Resolution or her clients.”

“Helen goes above and beyond to promote good practice, good co-working and support her peers and colleagues. This is shown in the time, energy and respect from those that come into contact with her. Most recently Helen was a co-author of the FRC final report regarding transparency in Financial Remedy proceedings.”
