The following workshops will be held:

Workshop C: Protection before punishment - international comparisons of the interface between the criminal process and the civil process in domestic abuse cases: DJ Marilyn Mornington, (England & Wales) – Chair; Marjory D Fields (New York, USA); Muriel Walls (Ireland).

Workshop D: ADR - It’s a small world - how alternative dispute resolution can be used in cross-border disputes: The Rt. Hon Lord Justice Matthew Thorpe (England & Wales) - Chair; Suzanne Kingston (England and Wales); Charlotte Butruille-Cardew (France).

Workshop E: Tax traps – a whistle stop tour on tax traps, including the effects of the Finance Act 2006: Judith Ingham (England & Wales); Bob Drennan, Rawlinson and Hunter (England & Wales).

Workshop F: Representation of children – how best to represent the views of children: Peggy Ray (England and Wales); Katherine Gieve (England and Wales); Murray Earl (New Zealand).

Workshop G: Forum shopping in the global marketplace - forum shopping, stays and financial outcomes: David Hodson (England & Wales).

Workshop H: Child abduction - practical measures and preventative steps, looking at Hague and non-Hague jurisdictions: Ann Thomas (England and Wales) – Chair; Duncan Ranton (England and Wales); Veronique Chauveau (France).

Workshop I: Forced marriage - how the English legal system deals with forced marriages: DJ Marilyn Mornington (England & Wales) – Chair; Jasvinder Sanghera (England & Wales).

Workshop J: Pre-marital agreements – international comparisons of how pre-marital agreements operate: Sarah Anticoni (England and Wales); Isabelle Rein-Lescastereyres (France); David Fink (California, USA).

Workshop K: Cohabitation– how different jurisdictions protect cohabitants: John Fotheringham (Scotland); Mia Reich-Sjorgen (Sweden).

Workshop L: Interdisciplinary working - what we can do to promote and practically develop interdisciplinary working to improve the experience of separating couples: speakers to be confirmed.

Workshop M: Parent interventions - do interventions, such as parent information sessions about how to help your children through the divorce/separation process, improve outcomes for children? Christina McGhee (Texas, USA); Joan Hunt/Liz Trinder (England and Wales).
