The Family Matters service was introduced for separating parents, to provide them with the support and information they need to get through their break-up in a way that’s best for their family.
The service was funded by the Department for Work and Pensions from April 2013 to September 2015 and operated in Crewe, Oxford and Newcastle. Resolution is currently seeking funding to resume the service.
At the close of the programme, Resolution partnered with the University of York to analyse the experiences of the Family Matters Guides who delivered the service. You can download a free copy of the research report from our publications page.
You can find the presentations from the seminar, which discussed the research findings in the context of other new models of practice in the field, on The University of York's website.
