Jo-anne started her career as a clerk in the county court in Liverpool and was encouraged by one of the judge’s to go into private practice and qualify as a solicitor. Jo worked full time and studied part time to achieve this initially qualifying as a Fellow of the institute of Legal Executives and subsequently qualifying as a solicitor. She has now been a solicitor for 12 years and a committed member of Resolution holding the post of regional press officer in Merseyside for many years.
Jo-anne now runs the Allerton Office for Morecrofts Solicitors, but spends a significant amount of time in court doing public law advocacy. She works very closely with Liverpool University as a mentor to Law Students, she also lectures and does training courses when she is able to.
Jo-anne is married, has two grown up daughters and two very active border collies that keep her busy.
