Collaborative Law- A Better Way
Collaborative family law is a new way of providing you and your separating partner with the opportunity to work together to resolve the issues which inevitably arise when the decision has been made to separate.
How does it work?
- You and your partner each instruct a collaboratively trained family lawyer
- It is agreed in a Participation Agreement that you will opt out of the Court process and resolve matters fairly and openly through the collaborative process
- You and your separating partner attend "4 way meetings" with your chosen lawyers. You choose the issues to be discussed and negotiated and have control over the process

You will benefit from:
- A positive experience and respectful approach
- An open, honest relationship in the process with your separating partner
- Control over the process
- Input into the agenda of 4 way meetings
- Focus on the important goals for the family and the children instead of simply the legal issues
- Prompt and open disclosure of all relevant information
- Control over thetiming of meetings and the speed of the process
